The data from your establishments ensures the proper functioning of the entire system, whether you are importing data into your Store Manager or exporting data from it.
If you need to modify a csv file, some data may be altered due to a change in format when opening the .csv with tools such as Excel or Google Sheet.
This includes identifiers, postal codes, and phone numbers, which are sensitive for various reasons.
For example, if they contain non-significant zeros (leading zeros) and the field is recognized as a numerical value, Excel will remove the zero. This can create significant incompatibility with different modules of the system.
Best practices to open and modify your data .csv with Excel
1. Open a blank Excel file.
2. From the 'Data' tab, click on 'From Text/CSV'."
3. A dialog box will open, choose the file containing the Store Manager.
4. Before loading it, choose to 'Transform Data'.
5. Format the columns containing references, identifiers, postal codes, or phone numbers as text.
6. Click on 'Load'.
