Marketing portal settings (categories, tags, hahstags, legal notices)

Modified on Wed, 14 Aug, 2024 at 5:05 PM

Define your categories, tags, hashtags, and legal mentions to make them available and ready to use when publishing content.

Accessing the settings

Simply go to the portal settings by clicking on Marketing Portal > Settings

Catégories and Tags

Why configure them?

Categories and tags make it easier for your establishments to search for and access the content provided to them. Each piece of content can be associated with one category and one to multiple tags.

Categories can also be used to create a filtered access point for a specific category in the content portal, just like content types (Facebook post, Instagram post, etc.).

Example of organization

CATEGORYTAG
Internal communicationeducational content; news; testimonial
Point of saleposters; price lists; sales arguments
Packshotproduct 1; product 2; product 3
Recurring eventsMother's Day; Christmas; sales

Mistakes to avoid

  • Creating a 'Mother's Day 2022' tag and a 'Mother's Day 2023' tag is not useful! 'Mother's Day' will suffice since the content is organized by recency.
  • If you use categories to segment content related to your products, you risk quickly having a large number of categories and overshadowing categories like 'recurring events,' 'sustainable development,' etc.

How configure them?

On the settings page, you can add, delete, rename, and change the order of categories and tags.

Hashtags

Why configure them?

Setting up your hashtag library saves you time when publishing content by allowing you to insert them into post descriptions with a single click.

How configure them?

Add, delete, modify the name, or change the order of the hashtags.

Legal notices

When publishing or editing content via Placeloop, you can display a message to the establishment outlining the legal scope of use for the content they are viewing.

For example, you may wish to limit the use of content

  • time, such as for a specific period of time
  • form, such as by prohibiting any modification
  • context, such as exclusively related to your brand
  • platform/channel, such as exclusively on the Placeloop platform if it is 'internal' / 'network' conten

It is possible to add the variable EXPIRATION_DATE which will display the expiration date in your notice.
This requires the content in question to have an expiration date.

When you publish content, it will be possible to choose the legal notice template.
